*The Beijing Food Street: Beijing – also known as “the Northern Capital” and the home of the “Peking Man”. Take a stroll through Beijing busiest street and experience the material culture and life style of Old Peking [Lao Beijing]. As you go along the streets, you'll find lots of activities and Happenings. The Shangri-La Hotel Garden or Ballroom will be totally redecorated and you’ll find yourself in the middle of one of the typical Beijing street scenes. Watch vendors, such as Pancakes Seller on a trishaw, a real Street Barber, Rock Painter, Shadow Cutter, Calligrapher and Noodle Maker, showing off their skills. Not only that, for antique lovers there’s lots of bargains to be made. Walk around the different food stalls and discover what the food is all about! The Chinese are Masters in Art and Acrobatics and you'll be able to watch them display their showmanship. The evening will be filled with lots of fun and full of entertainment from local artists, singers and musicians. All service staffs are dressed in their appropriate Chinese costumes.
