“Academic Research & Insight”

Attendees of this session will learn of recent results from academic research projects as well as needs assessment and be welcomed to provide feedback.  This will, in turn through the academic contingent, inform the broader XBRL community of research results and trends.

“Taxonomy Summit”
(1 day session Thursday only)

The taxonomy summit will bring together authors of major XBRL taxonomies to discuss a range of topics such as architectural frameworks, version management, filer and vendor communication and validation mechanisms. This is the first such summit and is intended to lay the groundwork for XII lead collaboration and coordination between taxonomy efforts worldwide. 

Daily Administrative Information

Registration/Help Desk

The Registration/HelpDesk will be open daily from 07:30 to 18:00. 

Please come to the registration desk first to sign in and receive your conference badge and materials.

Conference staff will be available daily to answer your questions and assist you throughout the conference. 

Any last minute changes to the program that arise will be available at the registration table. 

Online Pre-registration is required to ensure a quick and stress-free registration experience for all.  

Conference Program Schedule

The Conference will begin each day promptly at 09:00 following a breakfast buffet in the Foyer.

First-timers Session

XBRL International will provide an “Introduction to XBRL” on Tuesday morning from 07:45-08:45.

Main Stage & Symposia

It is important that attendees take their seats between 08:45 and 08:55 to ensure that our honoured keynote speakers are permitted to begin on time. There will be approximately 10 minutes travel time between the Main Stage and Symposia programs to allow for smooth transition and accurate start times.

Track Sessions

Out of respect for the presenters who have so generously agreed to share their expertise please be in your seats prior to the start time for each session.  5 minute travel time is incorporated into the schedule to allow for time to change tracks between sessions, if you desire.

Conference Sponsors Exhibition Hall

Exhibitions and demonstrations will be open each day from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm.

Docents will be available on site to provide introductions/tours of the Exhibition area throughout the conference. 

Ample time will be provided each day to visit with the knowledgeable staff in the exhibit area.

Conference Meals

Breakfast Buffet 07:45-8:50 Daily in Exhibition Area

Conference Luncheons will be provide each day from 12:30 – 14:00 in the Exhibition Area

30 Minute Refreshment Breaks will be provide in the Exhibition area daily at 10:30 and 3:30

The Gala dinner will be held on Tuesday evening. 

A light fare reception will be held early on Wednesday evening, there will not be an organized dinner giving conference attendees an opportunity to schedule client meetings, networking dinners, or to take in the sights of Abu Dhabi.
